The time is getting closer! And I'm getting so excited its crazy.

But first a little album revue for Logos by Atlas Sound.

So this was a side project by the lead singer of the wondrous Deerhunter. It has basically gotten me through the HSC so far and it's absolutely amazing.
It's like nothing i've ever heard before. So you can get the general idea of what it sounds like, it's relaxing and soothing and extremely dreamy. Although there are pauses between songs, each track flows into each other, so the whole album could be seen as just a collection of sounds.

The tracks are not structured - like verse, chorus, verse etc. so it is so unpredictable and interesting to listen to. There are parts throughout the album which sound like changing radio stations, so a mixture of odd sounds - but in a good way, and he repeats simple tunes to the extent that they become hypnotic and drowsy which adds the most heavy feel to the album. I suppose if you wanted to compare the album to something in life, it sounds like floating. Or maybe being underwater, or perhaps a young toddler exploring things around the world, and learning about life. Something along the lines of that, its so magical and so difficult to explain, but it really is amazing.

If you where to listen to some of the songs, I would suggest 'The Light That Failed' 'Walkabout' and 'Sheila'. Those have been the standouts for me but all of them are just as good, I just haven't matched song names to songs yet.

You should definitely buy it.
