Tame Impala.

Oh. My. Gosh. So last night I saw Tame Impala live at the Oxford Art Factory. Firstly, I must say - it was the first time i'd been to the Oxford Art Factory and i've fallen in love with it. It's just so...factory-ish and small and cool and awesome. They generally have over 18 gigs which would be the reason I never go there so it was pretty exciting when they had an under 18s gig!

Everything sounded great. Just absolutely awesome, all the instruments could be heard so clearly but on the downside you couldn't hear Kevin singing - although lucky it was Tame Impala because an awesome thing about them is that if all their songs were instrumental it would still sound brilliant, so that didn't really bother me.

This was actually a life changing gig. It's making me re-think who I am, and sorry if this too deep for you but deal with it. They have the most amazing stage presence, they are just so chilled and relaxed. It was almost like they weren't performing at all, like they were just in their garage or at their place or something, but you could just tell they were enjoying the music just as much as we were. Strangely, I didn't feel the need to sing the lyrics out loud, but more mumbled them to myself, and I didn't feel like an idiot to close my eyes and just take in all the sound. It actually just seemed right.

And now I've fallen in love with all of them and their personalities, from left to right: Jay - Drums, Dom - Bass, Kevin - Guitar/Vocals. They all seem like free spirits and when reading through interviews and looking at photos etc, I find we are strangely similar with how we [being my friend Sarah and I] think. They are all such talented musicians and so unique.
