The Reasons For My Absence.

What to write...

My weekend was packed in with so many things going on. I felt like I wouldn't have any time to do anything! But yet here I am quite bored and alone in my house, finding the time to post something.

Everything started saturday 7th, where Sarah, my friend Barzy [also known as Hannah] and I went to a small vintage sale at the Hibernian House, and Surry Hills markets. It was a fun day, I ran into quite a lot of people from work...Vanessa, Lauren, Karl and Ingrid, which was nice.
I first bought these lovely green shoes for $35 which have now been named my 'elf shoes' and that was all from the small sale. Once I arrived at the markets however, spending became a lot more productive. I bought a hat named 'Bertha' for $15. It was again green and had these huge fake flowers at the back which I cut off and a thick piece of lace around it. I also bought a rag doll dress which is colourful and was $10. That was all from the markets, however then we went wandering along Crown St and I found myself a very cute black dress with small white love hearts on it, so small that they look like polka dots...that was for $30, then lastly I bought a pair of grey stonewash jeans for $99 which was great because i'd been wanting them for a while now, and unlike my other jeans which have all stretched, they are proper skinny jeans.

Saturday night Sarah and I then trecked it to Seaforth where we chilled at our friend Sean's house and met a lot of new lovely people. That was fun and it had the best music, well better than any other party I have been to, and he had a washing line which we spun around and grass to lie on =] So quite a lot of personal jokes sparked from there such as the red cat and the Benny Hill theme song which shall now never leave my head. I also now want to learn French more than I already did which is annoying because I wish I could just know it rather than have to learn it..

The next day we once again trecked it to Newtown where we went to the Newtown Festival. It was such a nice environment but unfortunately I was so tired from the night before that I ended up falling asleep. Sarah and I got there and went to meet up with everyone else but on the way we saw this band playing which sounded really good. The lead singer sounded like that of Howl, the Australian band that sing Blackout...so I suppose kind of The Vinesish, and their guitarist sounded like that of Cut Off Your Hands and it really was a good mix. But now that I listen to the band...

...they don't sound like that so much haha, but they did live at the time. And I still like them. So yes we sat there for their last few songs and it started to rain which was great. It was already all humid and gross so the rain was nicely welcomed. Then they finished playing and we really didn't want to move but we wanted to find out friends so we went searching for the main stage. Finally we found the stage and after ages of wandering around trying to find them we did! Then we ended up crashing quite far away from the stage. There wasn't really anyone I liked playing either, it was more softer acoustic stuff I'm pretty sure, but yet again this was also when I fell asleep. The weather then became really hot and gross again and the sun was burning us all so we decided to leave and went to Cafe Newtown where I enjoyed an extremely good Chocolate Thick Shake which was amazing! As well as these really good hot chips which weren't oily and just tasted so good!

So yes that was all really, we wondered about Newtown a bit longer and then went to a park in Mosman? But then just headed home.

I slept basically all of Monday then worked Monday night, then again Tuesday day. And today [being Wednesday] I went to Maisy's then Maccas then into the City then home. The day went pretty quickly and was a bit pointless but fun non the less.

And now I would be here writing this. My parents left on Tuesday so I have the house to myself and even though it is a bit lonely it's quite calming. When I got home today I laid down on the couch and listened to Sigur Ros whilst the sun set. Yes quite calming indeed. I wish I had something more interesting to write but unfortunately I don't.

And I would like to thank you if you read through that whole thing because even I couldn't be bothered re-reading over it to make sure it made sense. So sorry if it didn't haha.
